Method of Preparing Butter Braid Pastries
We recommend the above methods for best results,
but If you get into a bind, there is a way to make a
Butter Braid pastry quicker.
1. "Speed-Raise" your
Butter Braid pastry:
a. Preheat oven to 175 degrees F.
b. Turn off oven. Place frozen pastry dough in oven
to thaw and rise.
2. Let dough rise 2 to 4 hours,
until it doubles in size. Check every 20 minutes after
first hour to make sure the pastry doesn't rise too
much.
3. Leave thawed dough in the oven,
set to 325 degrees F. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
4. Let Butter Braid pastry cool,
then slice.
Ingredients
Frosting Ingredients (Frosting Packet):
Sugar, water, corn syrup, stearic acid, artificial color,
agar, salt, potassium sorbate (preservative), guar gum,
pectin, dextrose, citric acid, sodium hexametaphosphate,
natural and artificial flavors.
Pastry Ingredients:
Flour (wheat flour, bleached, malted barley flour, niacin,
iron, potassium bromate, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin,
folic acid), water, butter, eggs, sugar, yeast, nonfat
dry milk, salt, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) as a preservative.
Fruit Filling: (Nutrition
Facts)
Cherry filling: water, cherries, sugar, corn syrup,
modified food starch, citric acid, sodium benzoate (as
a preservative), salt, artificial flavor, potassium
sorbate ( preservative) and artificial color (contains
FD & C Red #40 and FD & C Blue #1)
Apple filling: water, corn syrups,
evaporated apples (preserved with sulfur dioxide), food
starch modified, citric acid, spices, salt, sodium benzoate,
and potassium sorbate as a preservative.
Cinnamon filling: brown sugar,
water, corn syrup, sugar, modified food starch, partially
hydrated vegetable oil, salt, titanium dioxide, sorbic
acid, sodium benzoate (as preservatives), artificial
flavor, yellow 5 & 6, and cinnamon
Cream Cheese filling: Cream
Cheese (pasteurized milk & cream, cheese cultures,
salt, and guar and /or locust bean and /or carrageenan
gums), water, sugar, corn syrup, modified food starch,
vegetable shortening (partially hydrogenated soybean
and cottonseed oils), natural and artificial flavor,
titanium dioxide (for color), salt, maltodextrin, benzoic
acid (preservative), glucono-delta lactone, yellow 5
and yellow 6.
Let rise overnight, bake at 350°
for 20 minutes then ENJOY!
Storage
Prior to delivery, we keep the frozen Butter Braid
pastries stored in freezers at 10 degrees F below zero.
After taking delivery of the product you have about
a 2 hour window to get them into a freezer or delivered
to your customers. Butter Braid frozen pastry dough
may be frozen for up to 4 months. We recommend that
they be kept in a freezer at or below 0 degrees F.

The Pre-portioned cookie dough taste
like mom used to make without the mess. Just
take out however many of the pre-portioned cookies you
want to bake and save the rest for later. No thawing,
no scooping, no mess! There are 48-1oz cookies per box
(3lbs). Flavors include: Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter,
Oatmeal Raisin, White Chocolate Nut
